I have some spare wheels I'd like to use for a single speed conversion, however the freehub is aluminium and already has chew marks from the NX cassette used for one ride. Hubs are novatech.
Is there a single speed kit suitable for aluminium freehub? Something wider where it is in contact with the freehub might be ok. I saw Wolf Tooth do some wider aluminium rings in 17t and 18t but not sure how long they will last.
Yes. There are wide base cogs available. Drop me a PM as I've a few the should really get sold.

anything with a shoulder will be grand.
surly ones for eg.
or buy one second hand!
i've been running a surly cog on an ally freehub for a couple of years. the only marks on the FH came from when i lent the wheelset to a mate and he put a cassette on it.
Gusset Double Six are good (they are 7mm base and no-one makes a wider one that I am aware of).
I have used them for years on alloy free hubs and mainly on an alloy bodied spline fixed gear hub (Halo Fix T)
+1 for Gusset Double Six. I use them on 3 of my bikes at the moment and have been using them for years without any problems.
On one groove armada on my hope xc sp3 hubs
No issues and no marking
Cheap like chips
