Ordered from a couple of online retailers on Monday, wanted the bits reasonably quickly, so paid the extra £5 for 'priority dispatch/next day delivery'... wasn't entirely suprised when they didn't arrive yesterday, the order was put in at around 3pm, but a tad annoyed that neither have arrived today... 😡 😥
The only time I ever paid for priority dispatch on wiggle (because I needed the thing next day) was the only time that wiggle delivery took more than one day for me. Never again 🙁
Isn't there usually a cut off time of about 3pm for next day delivery stuff? what do their terms state?

Probably, hence why I wasn't fussed when they didn't arrive yesterday 😉 But, they bloody well should've been here today IMO... 👿
Its a total rip-off, none of the major retailers bother seem to pick and pack these orders more quickly. They still take 2 days to process and then you get them next day delivery, which would probably happen anyway. If you complain they will hide behind the small print.
Chainreaction Cycles did a next day delivery when I ordered on Friday and it arrived Saturaday morning- fantastic service.
They did send the wrong cassette though - Doh! and were decent to pay for my return postage and it arrived Monday as someone picked up the phone on a Saturday.
You take a gamble for mail order or even LBS stock/part working - Hope for the best and Prepare for worst.
I once ordered from CRC and paid extra for delivery. I then realised I'd forgotten something, ordered that and went for free delivery.
Guess which came first 😀
I've been thinking a bit about this since I've had similar problems for the last few months, if CRC or Wiggle could introduce something like Amazon's Prime subscription, where you pay a one off annual fee for guaranteed next day delivery they'd get all my business.
Just ordered a socket in an odd size from Amazon, I know it'll arrive by 1pm tomorrow RMSD - for a £5 order.
Of course these companies don't ship the same quantities as Amazon, but surely they're in, or close to the top tier for discounts. I'd certainly rather have that facility than the ability to use paypal at CRC.
Ordered a new Hope QR seatclamp from Noah's Ark yesterday. No mention of stock levels on the site and they have all colours/sizes listed so I was expecting an e-mail saying 'don't have it in stock, it'll be X days'.
BUT - ordered it just before 4pm yesterday afternoon and have had a text from her indoors saying that another bike-related package has arrived this morning!
Wahoo!!
