Not sure if I can go yet Tony,

Been working way too many hours to get this job at work finished.

I think the Mrs and Kids will not take to me taking the only day i'm likely to get off and riding round the Lakes with you guys.

This job will hopefully be done for mid February after which normal hours will resume together with LOADS of riding.

Pity was really looking fwd to it an'all

Haven't changed a thing yet. Saddle and chainrings might be replaced by something different when they wear out though.

Thats better!
Was toying with swapping for an Evil Sovereign but at the moment I dont ride enough anyway and I have a baby due next month, so perhaps I should be sensible for a change and give the chameleon some TLC and trail time.
Forks are a bit dated but with a service they'll be right as rain.

Something a little... 'different'

Changing the fork out for something a little less 'marmite' shortly, DT Swiss XMC 130 TA, oh and the tyres are now Advantages rather than balloon tyres! 🙂

Those sandersons are nice. That grey primer is on the list of possible respray colours for this, whenever I get it done, along with poo brown, the apple green that Orange are using at the moment, and a dark metallic grey.

Hopefully this worked. I still need to shorten and re-route the hoses, and cut the steerer (way too many spacers on atm) otherwise it's finished.

So many 'premium' brand hardtails in this thread

Right, my collection of cheap tat (fugly) hardtails:
If only I could include the FS to raise the (low) standard

[img] [/img]
Still thinking of swapping the frame for narrow tubed steel something

[img] [/img]
A 'play' bike. Frame bought with 72% off, most* bits were lying around going spare
*except grips and BB. Since bought new stem and bars
And yes, I know the colour scheme is far from pretty

[img] [/img]
Bought secondhand for commuting with steps/curbs in mind with 80psi narrow slicks. Now does occasional lighter/shorter offroad rides
Thinking of respraying, though don't know whether I'd be better off putting money toward a nice steel frame instead
Currently undergoing 'transformation' to 1x7. Can't decide whether to use a 7spd gripshifter lying about, or an 8spd trigger shifter and bodging it

H'mm that's quite a lot in about 10 years. Still have the DMR, Kilaueu and the Cove. Only thing I really shouldn't have sold was the Switchback. Had a lot of fun on that bike.

my Io - REALLY wish i still had this - my biggest bike selling regret. cheap, cheerful and a right pieve of good old fun... 😥

my old soma juice - ugly as sin, but a great ride - again, sad to have got rid...

my marin pine mountain touring bike - first proper mtb, photo from touring around iceland on it - it was perfect. not 100% sure where it is now.

and finally (for the HTs - not inc the CX and FS)

my solitude in its original form

now has regular gears, double and bash, black finishing kit, lots and lots of scratches and some new manitou minute 120mm bolt thrus (and some beefier wheels)
