I'll start: the Col de Coux ridge:
Another good one was the Wiliwilinui (seriously) ridge above Honolulu in about 1997 (there is some great riding on Oahu if you can handle the enormous faff of getting there) - DH on a massive ridge in a rainforest directly above a big American city was a bit different - but all the photos are analog...
Here's someone else's:
That's some good ridge
Ah,Is that 'Col De Cou' the Morzine one? A true alpine classic, I feel best climbed from the Swiss side and descending to Morzy.
Awaiting more ridge pics...

If you mean my picture no. It's in central Switzerland well away from the crowds of PdS.
I think that one in Wales might merit a trip next summer - would love to know where it was.
I think all the best rides involve some kind of ridge/exposure.
My first photo was descending from Coux in the direction of Champery. I didn't know you could take it back to Morzine too! I accessed it from the Mossettes lift then down the Swiss National, up and along and then hike a bike. I don't think they encourage/allow you to ride there now but on that day the visibility was so poor it was empty, so why not.
I know there are some epic ones in Verbier and Les Arcs, anyone been?
I love ridges, both down and up! That Welsh ridge looks amazing, as does the Honolulu one.

that picture sums up why I like to ride in the Alps
FRNick, is Ullock Pike rideable? It looks amazing.
yep, all rideable - really really good. ๐
The welsh ridge is just north west of Capel Curig. Not really a ride, just a push up and ride back down, with some really really scary, and for me unridable bits. More pictures here and here. Send us an email if you want an OS ref or some such.
This thread is making me miss the Alps allready.
Crib Goch - actually quite scary...

Some amazing stuff. Anyone got some Verbier/Zermatt ridge?
Can anyone identify this killer looking ridge? Somewhere around either Verbier or Zermatt (I appreciate this doesn't narrow it much). It looks like it could be the ridge on top of the Verbier bowl, but I have no idea. These guys ride there, if that's a clue.
Really nice - are those 3V pictures from on/near Saulire
Pretty sure the hill on the Wales ridge is Pen yr Helgi Du.
great photos

Hey stevo, I don't remember that view a few weeks ago....
some great pics here - inspiring stuff ๐
"are those 3V pictures from on/near Saulire "
The First ridge is from La Saulire heading north to Col du fruit
(from where there are 2 really good exposed descents, one into either valley)
The second ridge is from Le Verdet* south (between Meribel and St Martin de Belleville) past Roc de Fer to Le Grand Lac (Again another descent back into Meribel which is great)
*theres another ridgeline descent (which looked awesome, for some reason I chose to go south) from Le Verdet north back to Pas de Cherferie, from Pas de Cherferie:

You can see the fireroad climb leftish uphill, look closer and you might just be able to see some more of the ridgeline path

Just had a look and I didn't even take one of you guys up there this year! It was pretty minging, eh? Haven't had weather anywhere close to that since - just turned a bit cold and snowy now. September was scorchio for most of the time, just had a cracking end-of-season day with the locals today. Feeling pretty autumnal now!

That's my bum!
Nice.
Nick you surpassed yourself with those Verbier and snowy ridge shots...! I would have been a bit uncomfortable on the latter!
