Hey guys - I know its a fairly old post but I have a quick question. I have recently bought a Rc405 and it looks like the rear triangle is bent do you agree?

I think its sitting to far to the left. I have set the wheel centre in the QR so that's not the problem. The tyre is not central all the way around but that's weird no?

The distance between the left hand side tyre wall and the tube is small, almost 3mm or less.

No its not new. I asked Supersonic on BikeRadar and he gave me some good advice.

He said to swap the wheel around (put it in the wrong way) and see if the gap changes. If it went the opposite way then its a dishing problem with the wheel.

The gap did change and so I'm sending it to the boys in the workshop to straighten up.

k-sugden - Is yours running ok then? I have heard about various tyres being too wide and so on. Although I think my nevagals aren't more then 2.5

I've also had my 405 from new, and the seat tube part of the rear triangle is asymmetric, my cinder 2.25 runs pretty close too, so big tyres definitely don't leave much room for manoeuvre!

Ok, thanks for the help guys - Great help as always. I've already sent the wheel to be re-laced and set up straight so if its not better then I know its only £20 for peace of mind.

How much to do you think my pace is worth at the moment.

Spec:

2010 Frame
Dt Swiss XR carbon shock
Rockshox Recon U-turn
Mavic Crossride Wheels + Kenda Nevegal tyres
Avid Juicy 3 with 200mm Alligator rotors (In white)
SLX crank arms
DMR pedals
Shimano XT shifter.
Shimano XTR rear Mech
Thomson Elite seatpost
Bontrager seatpost
Easton Bars

I do not want to sell but its nice to know because I only bought it for £450.
