Yup TCX1 it was 😳

Hey ho 😆

Anyways up the TCX1 was/is a lovely bike too, but then I only had it for a day and chose to ride the canal towpaths over here in Canary Wharf, no reason to take it South with me only having it for a day. As for high BB? erm... can't honestly say the Advance's I've noticed, yet.

Has anyone looked a Sams CX'er? (Singular) I went to the SpinLDN show on Sat and he had it there, really nice, really niiiiioice.

Out of interest, BikeBouy, what size did you go for, and what size are you?

I'm 5.10" (33"inside leg) (5.11 if I stand up straight 😆 ) and went for a Med/Large. Don’t ask me why they size their bikes like this as I’ve no idea but it turns out to be 54/55 in old money. The size is bang on for me as I like an old skool position, it’s got a 100mm stem (slammed 😉 ) on it if that helps.

Only problem I have is that you can't fit mudguards
if you could fit guards I'd probably be riding one now, instead I have this
[img] [/img]soon to have gears, not decided on quite what setup yet, toddles off to trickydisco's thread.

This is another thing, on the TCX (alloy or carbon) it comes with a set of small clamps for mudguards.. not that I'll be fitting them 😉

Aren't you the guy who was telling us all last year that we need a 46t to get anywhere?

yes.. that's me 😆

that was me using the 46 for 2 courses in bristol/bath.. both using part of a road crit circuit do pretty fast.. rest of the time 46 isn't needed

It's under the Museum of London. Right on the bottom of the "Barbican Rd" If you google "Museum of London" you'll find it easy enough.
Or ^^^ use the Giant site.

It's an odd showroom, when you walk through the door it looks really small... However.... pop into the basement and voila..... bikes galore.

I had no idea they were so prolific, especially in black, I feel cheated 🙁 should have waited for the green to come back in stock but I was without transport.

As much as I'd like a plastic TCX I suspect I'll be joining in the (green) Pro6 love in soon 🙂

Genesis Fugio 853 Reynolds steel frame. Not the lightest but lovely to ride. Makes a great 'go anywhere' type bike.

Wonna know what the really neat thing is about all this CX love in?

Looked at the Fugio when I got my Croix De Fer frame, but just couldn't warrant spending the extra £400. Looks very nice, though.

I hate you, and your stinking shop discount 😛

I'd ask what trade is, but it would probably make me cry.

Cannondale SuperX sadly no longer imported to this country. Some very nice bikes on this thread, been tempting myself to either a Specialized Crux Carbon as a frameset, Giant TCX SLR Advanced or an Eastway CX1.0 just want something with better mud clearance but rides as nicely as the SuperX.
