Bar end are great. Stop the hate! I can’t be arsed to go to garage, but I’ve got an on one whippet with stubbies. Used to have them on my E120, and that was with a riser bar (how uncool am I). Without bar ends on most of my bikes now but often find myself riding with hands on the end of bars as if I do. Wonder how the s150 would look with them?...

still got several pairs of originals ..seems weird that they've sold so many so quickly as there's loads of very similar copies available everywhere. I always have bar ends on all bikes as comfort is a priority and no longer  fashion conscious.

I also note everyone seems to be using stumpy little ones, whatever happened to the glorious Onza/X-lite L-bends of my youth?

</wistful remembrances>...

"like wearing socks with sandals"

No, that stops me getting sunburn. I once got caught out watching a NORBA race in Breckinridge. It was raining at first so was in waterproofs. It brightened up and removed the waterproofs, applied sun cream to all exposed areas but feet. Oh man! I had white crosses on my feet for three years afterwards.

so, socks for me :-)👍

I have Cane Creek bar ends on my Solaris. It's running fairly wide Thomson carbon all mountain bars. It was a special order when i bought the bike from a shop. They're great

I put them on my Jones Loops for a while too but it's like having a bike with hooks - they get caught on EVERYTHING - brambles, nettles, branches, leaves. On narrow trails it's quite awkward
