[Closed] Should my fox forks have foam oil rings?

I bought some secondhand 2009 f120 forks recently.

Took them part today to give them a service and noticed that they don't have any foam rings under the wiper seals, although they do have 2 sets of wiper seals (lower and upper).

Is it normal to have not foam oil ring on these forks, or should there be foam between the two wiper seals?

Yes they should have foam rings under the wiper seal.

That sounds weird. Sounds like they might have fitted something like a 32mm rockshox oil seal under the wiper seals or something! Never heard of Fox forks having a second wiper seal in each leg.

They should simply have a wiper seal and a foam ring underneath in each leg.

Any pics?

Hmmm, the seals (inner and outer) are both black, so not enduro seals (i think - they are blue?).

Definitely non-standard though, it seems.

Just ordered a new seal kit including foam rings......
