What options are there at the moment for 120-140 mm 27.5 bikes that have progressive enough linkage to work with coil?

I'm pretty light, so the weight penalty for using a coil is small, and I really like the way coils feel, but I don't want a soggy mess when it comes to pedaling (hence the shorter travel)

Ideally:

  • ~65 head angle
  • 75°+ seat angle
  • no extra complications like Shapeshifter or Infinity Switch, just simple reliability.
  • slack and low but not too long

Had an Ibis Mojo HD3 with an angleset to ~65 head angle. I'm basically looking for that but with more progressive linkage so it can use a coil.

Hens teeth?

Transition Scout looks fairly good, but worried the linkage isn't quite progressive enough...

It’s a great bike - I’m selling two Spitfire frames because my eMTB has totally taken over full-sus duties (I hadn’t got around to selling the first frame after upgrading before I got the Levo...) Kind of sad but they need riding!

Stanton Switchback FS 140?
Not light but great suspension action and nicely progressive.

There seem to be a few T130's around with coils on, I'm not sure that the linkage progression is what you're after but quite a few people have gone for it.

Yeah pretty sure T130s are regressive at the end of the stroke. I want something that ramps up nicely, as I don't want it to feel to soggy.

Really the Spitfire seems pretty spot on. Only downside are the bottle cage location and lack of internal routing, but these are small when everything else seems so perfect.
