[Closed] Shock mounting bolt fouling on bushing

I'm having some trouble removing the upper mount bolt on a rear shock.

The shock mount bolts look like this:

So on one side there's a (female) threaded sleeve which goes through the shock bushing, and on the other side a (male) bolt secures it.

The lower bolt undid OK: I backed the bolt out while securing the sleeve with an allen key, and then slid the sleeve out through the bushings to release the shock.ย  The sleeve took a little encouragement to come out, but nothing too excessive.

The upper bolt is a problem.ย  I can back out the bolt just fine, and the sleeve then slides through the frame mount so far as the shock bushing, but stops there.ย  I've tried giving it a little encouragement with a punch and mallet to no avail -- its almost as if the sleeve end has flared out slightly and is now fouling on the inside of the bushing.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Put the bolt back in a couple of turns and hit it harder.

yes. And if that's not enough: piece of threaded bar.

More hammer required, eh?

Thanks folks, I will try giving it a bit more of a bash and see if it can be forced out!
