Ive just bought a pack of bushes off of Betd, having also bought, over the past year or so, the tool, then the strong bush.

I THINK my bush is wearing out quick due to the suspension design!

see, its a Giant Trance, and the upper rocker, rotates the bush around 90degrees, with each full shock movement.

in comparison, Rob's Lapierre, hardly moves the bush at all, as its a very linear movement!
this must be why his last so much longer than mine!

I am under the impression, that needle bearing are not used generally, as they are not much good if they dont move much, they seize up?

would i be better with needle bearings do you reckon?
as ive got so much rotation in the movement?
or should i stick with bushes and accept that they are going to wear out pretty quick.

Kaesae might know this one? a chance to redeem himself a little perhaps?

I worked for Penske 5 years ago and we looked into using roller bearing instead of spherical bearings in our dampers. The problem we found is that dirt ingress was a big problem and also we had a big problem with brinelling of the mating surface. So much that the bearings would almost lock up. I'd stick with bushes anyday.

Chris at Enduro Bearings is a great bloke to deal with. Highly recommend the roller bearings (they are different to the ones BETD sell)
