A friend of mine is looking for to buy a bike on eBay but the only quotes he is getting for shipping is £130. Can anyone recommend a way of him getting it over to Ireland cheaper?

Addresspal, an post company so he'll have to pick up at the post office.
Parcel motel if he can pick up from near Dublin airport

I used bikedelivery.co.uk but that was to NI.. think it was about 40 quid?

I sent a 400 quid bike to NI 35 pounds Paisley freight and It was super quick, I think next day.
