I have just got an Orange p7 pro (steel frame), it is a couple of years old. THe seatpost is really difficult to raise/lower. I managed to get it out with a lot of twisting and a now very scored post. I eventually got the shim out but it looks a bit corroded. I put a bit of grease on it and stuck it back in. The post is still really stiff. Any addvice what to do, or even what size shim I should buy to replace it would be great.

I've found the last couple of USE resin shims I've bought have been more generous than the stated diameter (I think CRC still do USE shims).
