considering a pair of egg beaters lasted me 2 wet rides im shimano through and through.
Just ordered a set of new xt platforms, not a massive platform but not needed really, just to absorb the flex of my dx shoes, my last shimano spd platforms lasted 10 years!

I've had the new (cheapest) Candy's for about 3 months now. Put Ti axles in and no problems whatsoever. Cheap as chips and lighter than pretty much anything this side of 4Ti.

Hmmm. Shimano, the brand that lasts for years and years and years. Or crank bros, the brand that is known as making stuff that falls apart.

I've got the cheapest new shimano trail pedals (model down from xt), 30 ish quid and really good. Avoid crank bros like the plague, bearings made of cheese, form over function as with most crank bros products.
