Basically I am looking to up grade to 12 speed xt but save a bit by using the 12 speed sunrace cassette that will fit on the standard free hub without going to micro spline.
Has anyone tried it and any reliability issues with 12 speed xt?

Currently on 12speed slx with 12 speed sunrace cassette
Came as standard on my orbea occam no issues at all shifting is sweet and noticeably smoother and less noisy than all my mates who run sram
(And are jealous of my shimano set up)

I'm running 12spd XT mech, shifter with a Sram GX Eagle cassette and XX1 Eagle Chain. One of the smoothest set ups I've used, I've got the clutch resistance set low with just enough resistance to stop the mech moving on the rough/bumps as out the box it was pretty tight.
With the resistance reduced on the clutch the shifting is amazing.

Yeah, I have 12speed xt on a sunrace cassette. It's fine. I haven't ridden the same with a xt cassette so don't know how much better the full xt will be, but it works well with no complaints.

XT mech, SLX shifter, SRAM 12-speed cassette. All working fine. Needed a little fine tuning to get the shifting as good as the SLX 12-speed cassette on my other wheel.
