Hi, just got a nice new set of shimano shoes which come with toe studs.
I want to get rid as they look lethal on rock.
Are they just a M6 x 10mm thread that I can replace with a simple domed allen bolt?

Should be. I had some Spesh shoes with toe studs that I removed, they came with blanking screws, but TBH the screws fell out pretty quickly. If i was you I'd just take the studs out & leave the holes alone.
