Hi gang.got my first pair of spd shoes.might sound a bit stupid but which bit of rubber do you pull of the bottom,just the square in the middle of the whole resesed bit. 😳

the whole recessed bit. just the cut bit though.

Pull out just the square,fit cleats & try them.
If that doesn't work,pull out the rest of it?

you will find that the spd bit is not well attached and you can pull it away using some pliers - so generally no need to use a knife.
start are one corner say next to the 44
