I've replaced my Avid BB5s but something seems wrong with cable end/caliper interface. The instructions are useless on this front. There is no way that a standard brake cable outer will fit into the hole shown (3rd picture). The brake cable inner makes contact with the caliper.
I am thinking that a long, thin ended cable end (Goodridge/Jagwire) might solve the cable inner/caliper contact issue, but it seems to me that there must be a correct Shimano solution out there, one that locates the cable end more securely in the caliper?
