How can i tell which shifters (10sp) will integrate and fit with which brakes?
i have a bike with both xt and deore brakes and slx shifters, but i cant seem to see how they would sit on the same clamp.
what am i missing?

They need to be either i-spec A or i-spec B.
AFAIK all new Shimano brakes are i-spec compatible but shifters you'll need to buy specifically.
Its a really neat system and very discreet. unless you know what you are looking for on the brake mounts there really is nothing obtrusive to suggest you can mount a shifter to it!
