Just aquired an entry level road bike thats fine but it has unmarked brakes and was thinking of swapping for 105s.
So, will I notice a difference? And will they work with the shifters?

If 5800 105 brakes then yes you will notice the difference if 5700 then no .

Won't the cable pull be wrong on 5800s ? Bit like old canti's vs V-brakes ?

I think Claris and 5800 are both new super slr so I would think they will be ok.
