I have BR785 calipers on my specialized diverge and have taken them off to put on another bike.ย  The strange thing is that they don't have a bleed port and instead just have a recessed allen key bolt.ย  Just trying to work out how you bleed them with such a setup?

Is the bleed outlet under a little rubber cap adjacent to the allen key fitting? If so,put your hose on that, and use the allen key to open and close the fluid path to the outlet.

Thanks coatesy!ย  I just checked and yes there is a small rubber cap adjacent to the allen key fitting.ย  All the videos I watched on bleeding showed a bleed port so I was rather miffed when I didn't see the same setup on the calipers I have.

Caught me out the first time I came across them too. It's not a bad idea though, it means your hose doesn't twist itself off when you open and close the port.

Glad its not just me that was baffled by this.

I was trying to bleed the caliper through the Allen bolt.as mentioned none of the YouTube videos helped at all.

There are two slightly different versions of the brake, one with a bleed nipple and one with the rubber capped bleed port underneath. I had the same confusion when trying to follow the bleeding instructions!
