Xt M8000 mech, new at Christmas, but to be honest, it's not had very little use.
The clutch lever moves to the off position, after only a few minutes riding. I've tried adjusting the clutch tension, starting at high / highest tension, and gradually reducing tension until the lever stays put whilst riding, but at that point the clutch is ineffective. The lever does not feel like it really sits 'home' when in the on position.
I did wonder whether any suspension induced chain growth was tugging at the clutch (Canyon Strive), or my chain is too short, but i can't seem to replicate this on the stand, even with the shock disconnected and getting fairly rough with compressing the suspension. Plus it's not like I'm in the lowest gear when decending anyway, (decending is when it seems to disengage). Shifting is great, in all gears.
So do i need to make a warranty claim, or is there a known fix / something i may have cocked up / something to try? The bike came with full GX, but I fitted the XT mech / XTR lever myself.
It might just need tightening up.
