Yes those XTs are two way release.
Are you sure? They look like the older single release ones to me.

If they are 751 they are not but if they are 760 they are. You could be right, they look like 751.

yep, that's a no. get the SLX as they've got adjustable clamps. Future proofs you against new and unusual brake levers..

these here for 35€ or the SLX? did shimano ever make completely black shifters like these (SL-M760) or has the guy had a go at them with a spray can....?

I don't remember a black M760 but they may have been a special done for one of the big manufacturers OE.
