I came across a link to a news item on the old site (from July last year) about 'improvements' to Shatton and Brough Lane. The link obviously doesn't work any more.

I haven't been round that way recently and was wondering what was done and what it's like.

Any info?

rode from Hathersage to Shatton Moor the BW down to Brough, never ridden it before so can't comment on trail "improvements". It was all rideable (getting steadily rougher and faster) in the direction we went but if you come up from Brough then the first steep section after the tarmac is very loose and we saw a couple of riders pushing up that.

It doesn't look to have changed in the last 5 years or so apart from a few yards that used to get ridiculously muddy (near the mast) has been graded or surfaced or whatever since it became a restricted byway.
