So just been and specced the new bike, and cos of my dedication to pleasing aesthetics, it won't be ready to build for a couple of weeks. Which gives me time to wonder:

Apart from when I was a nipper, I've always used SPDs. As the new bike is going to be a bit of an All-Mountain skill compensation tool, I'm tempted by flats.

What are the benefits and drawbacks vs SPDs?

Oh, and if anyone fancies an XT-equipped full-carbon Pronghorn in excellent condition (probably less than 300 miles ridden on it) let me know. I have to fund the new bike somehow...

Are you gonna Tipp-ex the frame dimensions on the new one?

Is it that obvious? ๐Ÿ˜†

Nope, it's the presence of crappy white frame dimensions stuck onto a white frame that means it's been shipped off to the local spray shop. It's going to be logo-less. Although I do quite fancy one of those custom headtube badge things. Someone on here CNCs them, don't they?
