Mrs Beener has a 1x11 HT that has an XT shifter sat on the same mount as the XTR brake lever.
Am i correct in thinking this is i-spec? If so, how do i identify what sort it is? How do i separate them, so she can get both items in the position she wants them?
Got a photo of it?
Preferably featuring the part no of the brake lever. (Printed on master cylinder facing the handlebar).
ok, i cant post a photo, but the brake is bl9000 and the shifter is 8000 series 11 sp xt.

If they are I spec 2 ( which seems likely from the series numbers) to run the separately you’ll need a spacer to replace the shifter in the brake lever clamp and a converter mount to mount an IPSec 2 lever to the bars like this https://clee-cycles.co.uk/P51583/product
I Spec II gives a fair bit of adjustment. Way more than the previous iterations.
thanks all. i find the set-up nice to use but Mrs B with het Gollum like fingers seems to struggle to get a nice position.
