And if so, do/would you worry about counterfeit notes (particularly £50's)? Or am I just being paranoid? 😳

Yes, if they meet me at the bank and pay it into my account whilst I'm looking over their shoulder. Otherwise its cheque, bank transfer or last choice PP.

Yeah, cheque, wait for it to clear after 6 banking days (7th working day) its yours, hand over the goods.

What is a money pen?

Assuming you're selling from home, what about allowing the buyer to use your computer to access their bank or paypal account and do a direct transfer to your account ?

Would that be a safe way of doing it from both points of view ?

£850 of it? as it so happens work was just sent a money pen by the local council, will have to look into what it does! Though, I reckon I'll get the chap to just do an internet bank transfer there and then, that should work, right?
