Can anyone recommend any nice cottages in the Forest of Dean, ideally with space to store bikes and dog friendly?

Very nice, but not very cheap. Actually just outside the Forest but me & little trb road to the Sun pub and on to the cycle hire place from there

The Forest Holiday cabins are great, but expensive. The advantage though is you step out of your door straight into the woods, and the woods around Christchurch into Staunton and Monmouth are some of the best around. I ride singletrack around there weekly. Know the area like the back of my hand as I use to live in Christchurch and now live in Monmouth.
You would also have the benefit of being 10 minute drive to Pedalabikeaway and the great Verderers trail.

We've stayed at http://www.csmaclubretreats.co.uk/holidayparks/whitemead/index.php

very nice and right in the forest with singletrack from the door - no idea how it compares on price.
