A group of us are going to do the SDW over two days and we're looking for somewhere to stay at the halfway point.
Does anyone know of anywhere good around Arundel / Pulborough? We're not bothered about going off route a bit, so don't be shy with the suggestions!

If starting from Winchester then Arundel is too soon to stop IMO (I've done it!) as the second day is harder. How about Truleigh Hill youth hostel ? Bit further along on slap bang on the SDW.

When we did it we used the Youth Hostel about 60 miles in, felt about right as the 2nd day seemed harder.

Rising Sun in Upper Beeding. Sue & Barry will look after you. Stayed with them 2 weeks ago, pub is only a few minutes from the trail.
