Oh how I laughed when 100 yards down the trail you fell off in front of me.
(But yes, I couldn't keep up for long)
Falling off is how you get faster in the first place. If you never crash, you're not reaching your limits.
'Tis but a scratch Simon. Makes you look distinguished.
I get that alot at local trails on me singlespeed
I enjoy spinning along behing them on the twisty stuff asking if they are going to start pedalling soon
inverse willy waving thread.
Could you wave a willy if it was inverted ?
like an inny?
surely you could flex your pelvic floor bits and wiggle it inside?
maybe,
*looks for bowl of ice to make an acorn*
Could you wave a willy if it was inverted ?
you could shimmy that boo-tay...
I've experienced the other end of this. We were at the top of Moor Lane in Grizedale when a 4x4 rocked up. Harvey asked the driver if he'd let us go first as we'd be faster, and the driver grudgingly let us go. As we rode down we could hear him revving furiously on a mission to catch up. At the bottom I had time to go and wash my bike in the river before he arrived :o)
Ouch sfb - looks like your hooter got the worst of that... get well soon...

cheers - though really my dignity was more injured than my face - which never hurt! Thankfully my (now broken) helmet must have taken a lot of the impact!
We have a local track where we take it in turns to go at the front so we each get the pleasure of over-taking or the pressure of being in the lead. We have even set up a scoring syetem; 2 points for a pass, 1 point for same position and -1 Point for each place lost. The person at the back can't start there two times on the trot though or they'd be unfairly gifted with points.
This scoring system usually leads to people making horrendous mistakes like missing the first corner, overcooking the tight bends and eating trees or speeding off line into rocks. There is so much fun to be had when someone slower than you is in front!
