[#3156358]

I have an old Carrera Subway i use for commuting duty, and the drivetrain is shot.
I need a screw on freehub 7 speed and don't seem to be able to source one.
Also, what is the tool needed to replace it, seem to remember it wasn't the standard Shimano lockring tool

Try a motorworld or the similar that sell cheap bikes. Bribe a lad to do it for you. those sort of places are full of screw on freewheels and similar.

Found bits, bought bits.

Freehub/chain/Bottom Bracket/Chainset = £40.

That'll last me another 18 months i reckon.
