My shins look a state (the joys of flat pedals) is there anything that can be done/applied to them to reduce the years of pedal pin scars?

Drac, Bio-Oil is the one I was thinking of, does it actually work?

I found that bio-oil did a great job of treating scabs on my face, elbows and knees after coming off my road bike. Applied twice a day every day for weeks.

Edit: used it just a few days after accident so don't know about existing scars.

Bio oil has done sod all for the state of my shins. It might have made the skin a little less fragile (it's like crepe paper), but it's not reduced the scarring at all.
