There should be some great crashes though.

You could put some crockery in the middle for added noise.

Is it 'classic' track size? I've got miles of old track.

If you can buy Hoy and Pendleton in 1:32 scale (oo-er) then I could probably build a to-scale 1:32 track!

Must be a bit dull though. Banking on the track always decreased the skill needed to keep them in the slot.

I'm having a baby boy in 7 weeks. I reckon this might be top of his first Christmas list.

3 minutes before boredom sets in. The guy on the outside will always be at an advantage

Bit like real track cycling then. I'd like to see how the sprint works, 2 laps as slow as possible then trigger to the metal!! 😀
Do you think they'll bring out a road race version so you can artificially boost your voltage by sending the batteries away for recharging
This has endless possibilities, what about wiring up the controller to your turbo bike and race a mate?

There could be a big problem with mechanical doping...

Just noticed they are cycles and 'sidecars', pretty sure real bikes don't have these..

The sidecar is for the UCI commisaire who checks on the fly that you're complying with all the rules, and can put on the brakes if you don't - saves having to have people run onto the track in front of [s]Graeme Obree[/s] riders who might not stop. Is a new rule for 2011.

Given it's electically powered surely there should be a miniature Cancellara in the set?

Yes but the angle of the banking is greater so he can go faster.

+1 for tea tray. Could double up as a Bob Skeleton then? Anyone for a Kieron or Omnium perhaps?
