I'm currently trying to import a route for the first time but the route I've created has around 900 waypoints. When I try to import the route I get a message saying that having over 500 waypoints could have an adverse affect on it. Is 500 way points around the limit for it to work properly?
I have a 50 mile ride planned tomorrow so I don't want it to crash half way round.
Thanks for your help. MM 😀

it shouldn't be a problem to put that many waypoint into a satmap device. I did it with the Doctors gate cut gate route with one and I think that had over 500 wpts on it.
does it give you the option to carry on i.e. continue anyway? you could always put it into mapping software and 'simplify' the route. this removes any waypoints places on a straight line and can reduce the amount of waypoints considerably.

900 waypoints seems a lot , can you not reduce the number of waypoints, or put it in as a track

It works fine, I've quite happily used routes with over 600 waypoints.
