Any SC dealer can get the use of this one and it's a large.

pop.

I need to tweak the fork and shock to get a betterer treehanging feel from it.

First impressions are good* though.

*It didn't fall off of the tree.

13.33%.

It's OK though as i've slowed them both down again* with the adjusters as they were too fast.

But they'll have to make the adjusters go to 11 then to get it feeling right again.

I tried a Tallboy LT back to back with an SB95. My Yeti arrives shortly. Been riding SC for years but I was blown away by the SB95. IMHO the suspension works better and the mid stroke is stiffer which lets it be a whole lot more fun than the LT, for me the LT was point and shoot, kind of numbed the trail... if that makes sense

How'd you get on with the LT Stu?

Rubbish! I'm heading back home soon and looked at this option. As a percentage of my monthly income it's actually cheaper for me to buy it in the UK than in Oz. I won't be taking this option as warranty issues as well as the extra cost and hassle of the freight make it not worthwhile. I'm a big fan of supporting the LBS and I know if I buy a bike from them that I'll get looked after.

Tallboy C List price is currently £350-400 cheaper in Oz. Cant comment on % of income but it's cheaper.

Was offered better than list on LTc and TRc too.

Seems I must have liked the alloy test bike. 😉

I just ordered the carbon version.
Better still the LBS already had a carbon one in my size on order so it should be here in around two weeks.

They were kind of similar but it climbed a little better, will be lighter in carbon, is available and it's coming at a very good price.

I have had various Santa Cruz but in recent years the frame prices have become just crazy in the UK, and it is not the pound/dollar exchange rate - even considering that, prices are very very high and some like Pivot, Yeti, and Ibis are closer to their US prices here. Not the same, but closer.

I was going to ignore Santa Cruz on this basis but ended up buying a Blur XC Carbon recently when stif threw in a £750 fork for the £2500 frame price (the deal is now off but the frame is £1850). I seem to have benefitted from the fact no-one seems remotely interested in anything without epic travel levels...

I liked the Bandit too. They're both very nice bikes. The TB just suits me slightly better.

Should hopefully be picking up my TB LTC this week. Can't wait. Just got to sell my TBc now!! Anyone interested in a large, orange TBc frame with kashima shock and 120mm kashima forks?

Paul, still 1/2 interested! but the fact that the warranty is only to the original owner is putting me off! Oh and that I'd prefer blue!
Next question what size is everybody riding? At 6'1" I've almost told myself I'd need an XL instead of L. With preference for a shorter stem.

I tried a medium last Saturday. I need a large and rode it for 20 seconds on tarmac. I thought it was shit and am very happy that it was too. Phew!

CS1, I'm about 6'1/2" and the large is ideal. I run it with a 70mm stem and that gives a nice stretch without being too long. Just put some 2.4" ardents on it and it rides great, if a little heavier than with the previous crossmarks!
