I'm about to change the bearings on my 07 heckler and the instructions state that loctite 680 should be used. It looks like this is extremely difficult to get hold of in the UK.
I have emailed Santa Cruz and checked out the MTBR santa cruz forum without success (as yet)
Have loctite changed the number? Does anyone know of a shop or site in the UK that has 680?
If you get the replacement bearings from Stif cycles you get the Loctite free in with the bearing kit.
If you wantsome I have a spare tube and could post it to you.
Don't know what the loctite number is but it came supplied with the bearings for my Blur LT.

Try phone them on +44 1442 278000 and see what the closest alternative is?
You can't get the 680 in the UK, it's some kind of a US specific number, but you can get other bearing retention loctite stuff instead -- they make a shedload of different compounds, and it is not really clear which one of them is equivalent to the 680, but I ended up going for 641. However, as munchiepumps said, you will get small amount of 680 with the SC bearing kit.
Just spoke to Loctite UK. 680 is USA only. 638 is the UK version.
