Alright lads/ladies,

I'm having a dilemma on whether to keep my Heckler frame with a DHX 5.0, or swap it for a bit of a beefier frame such as an Alpine 160 or a Yeti 7. I am debating a bike with a 180mm fork!
This summer I am going to the Alps hopefully, and will be entering enduro events (Gravity Enduro etc) so am wanting to know everyone's opinion!
Cheers

160 coil fork and DHX on a Heckler should handle most stuff.

So I say it should stay.

I would think 160mm forks are more than suitable to enduro

I ran mine in some of the 661 Enduros last year with an air shock and 160mm air forks - more than capable. Did the Mega on that setup too.

If you throw Coils all over it you will loose the pedaling that you need for the enduro type events.

I ran a DHX5 on mine but unless I was on proper DH stuff it didn't need it. An RP23 is a very good shock (lasted the mega perfectly)

You may get away with the 180mm Fox 36's but not much else on it.

If you want more get a DH bike
