Just putting together a new build and there doesn't seem to be much clearance between the side of the 'cage' and chain. Maybe 1mm!
Is that normal enough?
I am setting it up for a slightly smaller ring than designed for though-28T-could this be the issue?

It's pretty tight but that means the chain doesn't come off.

Yeah, I'm thinking of gluing some velcro in there to quieten it down but then there would be less than zero clearance!
