My brother has a set of Recon 351 U-Turns on his bike, and there's a bit of an problem with them.
When you flick the motion control lever to "Locked" it has no effect on the forks at all.
Also he doesn't seem to be getting full travel, even when I lean heavily on them(I'm 13st and they've got the stock medium spring in them) the fork won;t go much past 85mm on the stanchion.
Any ideas/links to solutions would be greatfully recieved.
yes the damper control valve has sheared from the stantion, it's happened to mine. If you take it apart you can turn the valve manually so that it is fully open so that you get full travel. I fyou can find anywhere that does replacements let me know because i couldn't! only the remote kit at £70.
So you just take the unit out and open it up?
He never uses the lock out thingy anyway
