As long as you;re not frickin with the damping side that should be plenty of oil IIRC. Old O rings should be fine unless they're borked (split or damaged) - plenty of engineering places sell O rings - to get sizing you'll need to measure them (diameters & section) or else just buy a service kit for the fork & that'll have evrything in it.

I've just had a quick look at the 09 tech manual & the main oil volume in all RS forks is the 5wt stuff. The 15wt is for lubrication, rather than damping and you need a MAX of 50ml, probably less.

As for o-rings, I bought a service kit from TFT that contained all the bits I needed, but it turned out that none of the o-rings I wanted to change seemed to be exactly replicated in the kit and none of it's labelled up. I tried the closest matching o-rings in the kit, but in the end I just re-used the original ones and they were fine. Serviced twice now with original o-rings. Just be careful not to score/nick them as you remove them.

@stumpy01

I found the same thing and I had both service kits. Also got a lot of stuff I didn't need like spare valve innards and stuff. Will try and source seals independantly next time. Just need to be aware they can swell so measuring the old ones isn't the best guide (really wish I'd measured mine before I put them in). Are all rings made of the same stuff or is there a spec which appropriate for fork seals (I'm guessing the latter).

Look hard enough on Sram's website and you'll find a few pages of Rock shox fluid levels/fluid weights.

Pretty much what this man says...

You need very little 15w oil, maybe 30-40cc in total absolute tops...

You need approx 125cc of 5w oil to refill the damper cartridge with...

Revs are a piece of the proverbial to service, best bet is to download the service manual from the rockshox website, and follow it to the T. It is very comprehensive, and explains everything as you go along...

A service is just an oilchange - not seals should be required. You should change the damping oil as well - easy to do

Just don't get your hopes up that's all. I just hope he's not spending all week eating curry because if he does you won't be able to go within 10miles of Farnborough without a HazMat suit on.
