They come up on Parcels 2 Go at 75p + vat.

I need to post my R4 charger and battery back to Hope.

PO delivered my battery and charger about a month ago. I even stuck a notice on it stating that there was a lithium battery inside.
As long as there is a charger (an appliance) they should have no problem with delivering.

They need to sort themselves out.

I sold a drill battery on eBay a few weeks ago and couldn't get any courier or RM to take it.
Had to refund the seller.

sa long as it is with the charger it should be ok

So if I plug it into the charger it'll be ok?

She claimed that at any point, sparks could leak out of the end and ignite the battery causing the death of thousands ๐Ÿ™
Apparently, she has seen a video of it..

Phone Hope and ask Hope what they use. They repaired a battery for me recently (which I'd sent to them with Collect+) and when they sent it back to me it had a big label on the outer packaging with details of the battery and who to contact if there was a problem.

DON'T plug it in. Just the fact that there is an 'appliance' in the package should be enough.
That's why a laptop can be sent through the post with a battery, but not a battery on it's own. That's what I was told anyway.

It's madness I tell you.

I've not used UPS to send anything, but they have always delivered to me when they said that they would.

I recently sold a light and did some research in order to ensure there were no problems with shipping.

Most carriers have restrictions on LiIon batteries in the terms and conditions, including Royal Mail, UPS and My Hermes.

Check here:

Seems it's a minefield but my local post office counter stated connected. I sent special delivery, battery connected and all was good.

She gave me a leaflet and it says it must be connected. I phoned Hope as soon as I got back and they use FedEx.
