snapped a roval spoke today, and not got a specialized dealer near me - where's best place to get a single spoke from?
want to service my manitous - aparently they need 2 different oils. got one (the 5W40), but need a damping oil - any idea what it is (P/N: 85-0023)? (eg weight etc) - france's manitou distributor has gone bust aparently, so stuff like that is hard to come by.
thanks
I may have some still, they will be used if I have. What length do you need. This is assuming the traversee spokes are the same throughout the wheel range.
mail me
If it's a straight pull they're near impossible to get hold of. Specialized don't even hold stock of most sizes! Hopefully boobs has the right ones!
boobs - ygm
njee20 - balls 🙁
I had a set which had a number of spokes go over time. Asked my local Specialized dealer to get the spokes ordered in and re-build it, and after several weeks, Specialized turned round and said they wouldn't supply spokes, but here are two new wheels. Very impressed by that, but no idea why they did so.
intersting... unfortunately my wheels are 2nd hand, and in france 🙁
It took Edinburgh Bike Co-op 4 weeks to get me one for my Traversees. (then they sent them back because I didn't pick them up within 2 days!) But Freeborn had them in stock and got them out to me in a day or two, I'd try them.
Specialized concept store in Bristol can get them for you Tel: 01179297368.
Or you can speak to Duncan at the Specialized HQ who services and does any warranty work on the Roval wheels (this is who the concept store will phone) Tel:02083913500. You will need to tighten the spoke through the rim, if you tighten it as a normal nipple it will just crack/break, and good luck getting those I had to buy 100 for £50 from Germany when all I needed was 8!!
Manitou damping oil is standard 5wt fork/shock oil in most of their forks AFAIK.
