Hello all
am off to rutland water next week and i plan on having a couple of days riding,
so apart from riding around the reservoir a few times is there any good trails around there?
i don't mind a hour drive if it's worth it,any way trail centers would be great
cheers

Don't really think there is a lot around there tbh, apart from the reservoir. Always makes me laugh to see the hire bikes from Rutland (often big burly Kona downhill bikes) tootling round on the tarmac/gravel!
It's all pretty flat around Rutland - but if you can get in the car and drive along the A47 towards Leicester you'll find Belton-In-Rutland. The OS Explorer shows a fair amount of Bridleways there and the topography is far better!
cheers for the reply's,i was hoping for some trail center type stuff or a local club i could always ride around the reservoir a couple of times!
You could do some of the Viking challenge route and around Belvoir castle
or Borough hill.

Sherwood Pines, Thetford or Cannock Chase would be the nearest trail centres(not exactly near).
