Need to change the oil in my Rohloff, is it as simple as it looks? What is the best stuff to put in, recommended oil or something like ATF?
i would make sure i had a nice new allen key for the grub screw in the hub. dont faff around with a multi tool or a worn out ball end key. give it a good clean out before fitting the allen key as well. i had a mare with a slightly damaged grub screw.i also left it to drain overnight then sucked the remaining fluid out.
* edit.. this overnight pause was bang on in the middle of following the manual. and why not eh?
Yes, but buy the oil change kit and READ the appropriate section in the manual.

As above - piece of piss, but don't do it on the sofa, as the oil goes everywhere.
