Some of the pro riders on the world 4X circuit this year were using SIDs or Rebas, I'd want a thru axle though. Probably a Maxle Reba if I could find one. They'd be fine though, they might feel a bit flexy but they'd be fine structurally.

ive got a pair of Reba and they are excellect. Much better the my Fox 831' which i fined too highly strung as im a 60kg rider.
