Hi all,

I am looking to get new forks and there are some great deals on the SIDs at the moment.

What is the difference between the various models though? What is the difference between the 'XX' and 'Blackbox' dampers for example? Do you really need the full range of adjustments or will the cheapest model be more than adequate?

At the moment I am leaning towards buying the cheapest 120mm, 15mm Maxle Axled SID I can find... but is it worth a few more pennies for any of the features?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, DanW

As for RS model's IIRC its seemingly:
RL - (old SL) standard Moco, & tooled floodgate (adjusted with 2.5 mm hex key internally)
RLT - (old Race) standard Moco, & external floodgate
RLT Ti - (old Team) Ti Blackbox, dual flow rebound assembly, lighter and perform alot better
XX - XX Moco, which is slightly stiffer compression, dual flow rebound, and the xloc hydraulic lockout

Lots info here

The Blackbox RLT Ti would be my choice, if you can afford it, as my experience is the BB is worth the extra. There all good otherwise though, other than maybe the XX which would seemingly be the 'racers' choice
