Hello all,
I'm considering treating myself to a reverb (or perhaps one of the Giant ones) soon but am having trouble working out how the sizing works. I have fairly short legs for my height so even at max saddle height there isn't miles of seatpost showing.
The Reverb states a length for each version e.g. 380mm. Where is this measured from and to? Is it the base of the post to the saddle rails at full extension? If not then what? What is the total height of the outer sleeve of the post (i.e. the part that is inserted into the frame? Also, is it possible to cut any of this off as with a normal seatpost? If so would then it would mean I could purchase a longer model and cut it down to the length I require.
The length I am really interested in is the distance from the frame seatclamp to the saddle rails when the post is fully inserted into the seat tube and the hyrdraulics fully extended. I guess this would be the height of the 'collar' + 125mm extension + 10mm or so height for the seat clamp mechanism.
Thanks
Dan
380 is at full extension. And no, you can't cut it down at all. I think you're right about the minimum height calculation, there's a diagram with dimensions on floating around somewhere on here.
