What parts are needed? I realise i'll need seals but is the damper seal kit needed too? i was going to service the motion control as well.

Is it a straight forward job?

The damper is pretty simple (as a design) isnt it? I would just leave it until something goes wrong then just change the o rings.

Mission control not moco in lyriks. It's more complex than Moco but you shouldn't need to take that apart, just take it out and clean it. Replace o-rings if worn.

Similar complexity to servicing any other RS - not bad.

I was just going to replace the o rings. Is that the damper seal kit? how often should the motion control be serviced?

do you need a tool to fit the seals? a seating tool?

They recommend a seating tool but it isnt necessary just push with your palm or fingertips they arnt normally in very tight.

Are the seals leaking? If not why change them?

The kit to service the MiCo unit isn't expensive (£20ish) and includes new o-rings plus the glide-rings for the dampers. Easy to do. Seems to have reduced (if not eliminated) the amount of oil that comes out through my MiCo knobs.

as everyone's said - it's very simple - you just need to be sure of the oil height / volume when you put it back together. Think it should be 115mm from the top of the threads...
