Was adjusting the travel on a set of Zebs and the oil managed to escape.

Zebs don’t use the same weight of oil that I have - does it really matter that much?

The small amount of oil in there can’t be doing much more than being a basic lubricant can it?

The viscosity of the oil also plays a part in the damping characteristics of the forks. However, if you only lost a 'small' amount I'd not be too concerned so long as the correct volume is present. Perhaps top up with the closest match that you have. Loads spare here if you are local to Ammanford.

The lower leg oil on zebs is just a splash for lubrication and has absolutely no effect on damping whatsoever

Whilst it's always important to use the correct oil per the manufacturer for there requirements not yours you can use just about any fork oil in a pinch

Don't use engine oil though the additives don't play too nicely

Fox Gold or any of the lubes that multiple service centres use/sell will be fine in the lowers.
I've had good results from Supergliss 68K in Fox and Rockshox forks.

I've just used whatever fork oil I had in stock (7w I suspect) for that and all has been well.
