Bought one in the US at the beginning of Nov (cost ~ £180). Thought some people may find my initial thoughts of some use if you are thinking of ordering.
It needed bled before I could use it (not a good start),though bleeding is very, very easy and everything is supplied. Hose is too long but as such it is not an issue. Just looks a bit 'messy' at the front of the bike. Opted not to cut it for now.
Since then I have used it 4 or 5 times a week in all conditions (dry, mancky, freezing) and it has performed flawlessly.
The ability to adjust the speed of drop/raise is a truly useful feature (suprisingly!) I have it pretty slow for my local trails to allow smaller adjusts. On trips to Wales I have sped it up for faster transitions from fully down to up or vice versa.
It is well made and I expect it to last very well though obviously do not know that yet.
Not cheap but better than the Gravity dropper and Pure Racing I have used in the past (mild obsession with dropper posts :oops:)

The cable routing is on a par with others. Certainly not an issue I could see. The fact the cable is pretty long is a bit messy looking.
One point I missed in my summary was no side to side play of any note.

How does the weight compare to the other droppers you've tried?
How did you deal with the excess of tube coming down when the seat as down?
The only thing that puts you off is that when you go down your'l end up with all that tube having to go somewhere.

Ahhh! Got the cable question now. The Pure Racing has the same 'issue'. I used 2 loose zip ties to route the cable down the side of the frame when the saddle is dropped. That has worked fine for both the Pure Racing and the Reverb. I agree it is not as neat as the Gravity Dropper. A non issue for me though.
Weight wise I didn't actually weigh but little or nothing in it either way.
Lever is excellent. Easily the best out there.

Out of interest other than looks, why is it better than a Gravity Dropper.
I am looking for an uppy downy seat post for new bike. I have a GD on the other bike and it works flawlessly it just looks rubbish,

Fox one looks ace, uses something like the TALAS system (push leverto set height) as opposed to most other which have used someting functionaly resembling manitous IT system (push button, set height, release button).
ooOOoo from what I have read the difference with the Fox one is you only have 3 height options (Up, Down an inch and fully down). Not sure if this was a prototype issue, but it might change your mind. I can see arguments for both approaches to be honest.
Like the Specialized post? I can see the logic in that one, just dropping it a bit when you are hammering on singletrack, or fully down. I tried a couple of Bionicons once and they have infinite adjustment on their suspension...too much choice!
I think really I want well made, no play and reliable, and I'm hoping fox n rockshox are too concerned about their reputations to put out a duffer.
I think the reverb is quality, it just feels better than the gravity dropper.

I've read a bit out the levers being made of cheese on the Reverb, and of course prime position to be wiped out in a crash, seems like they didn't think that through very well.
Although mounting the RHS lever under the bars on the left does seem to protect it.

Toons, thats a seriously tricked out 5 spot. I like the 36's - how do you find them on the spot? Also roiuting looks ok for remote, mine follows rear hose then arks up seatpost.
Edit: whats the deal with your front mech cable, have you done it that way to stop the rocker pinching it?

Taz, a quick question what length reverb did you get and how much is inserted in the frame, thanks i have a flux and am using a thomson 410mm but i think i could get awawy with the 380mm reverb, thanks

Gravity dropper do a 30.9 one and a 5" drop these days. They are butt ugly but they work, are reliable and are so simple that anyone can service them.
Are these Reverb seatposts available yet ? I can't find anyone who's got one in stock 🙁

I was out on my hardtail with the gravity dropper this morning. First use since the Reverb purchase
They do work, have better cable routing and are very reliable. As Duir says they are a dawdle to service.
Downsides for me are the 1 inch drop is a pain to get at times (for my local rides that would be the most common change -fully up to 1 inch down)and they do move a bit. The lever is also not as good.
I think the Reverb, if it fits your bike, is a better product by a margin. Only time will tell if they are as reliable

Just got one of these and seem to be suffering from the same "needing a bleed" problems as others. If I'm cutting the hose which end do I cut (seat or remote - posting from work so can't look at it) and do I reuse the parts to reassemble? I'm presuming it's similar to shortening a brake hose which I've done before.
Dying to to get out on it.

Pull it off at the remote end. Just wave a match or lighter under the end of the hose for 2-3 secs and then pull. Trim to length then push it back on. Bleeding may or may not be required.
